Transfer existing customers from resold to direct.

Reseller

The reseller must first authorize the client transfer by opening a ticket.

We value our partnerships with our resellers tremendously, and treat stewardship of their customers and their reputations with their customers with the utmost importance. As such, we don't want a reseller to be surprised by the loss of a customer and we want to make sure that they have the opportunity to retain the customer's business that they worked so hard to attain. To ensure the reseller has had this opportunity, we must have a ticket placed in their control panel releasing the customer from their account.
  1. Login to the control panel with your Administrative account.
  2. On left navigation bar under Client Account, click Support.
  3. Click Enter A Support Ticket.
  4. Fill out the ticket, then Click Create Ticket.

Customer

Steps needed to be completed by the customer for direct transfer.

Ticket Authorization

The customer then must create a ticket authorizing the transfer in their account.

  • Optional: Please include your resellers transfer ticket # if possible.
Resellers bill their customers and have full access to the customer's account. Because of this, we need to make sure that the customer is aware of the migration, and authorizes the change. This authorization is documented with their ticket.
  1. Login to the control panel with your Administrative account.
  2. On left navigation bar under Client Account, click Support.
  3. Click Enter A Support Ticket.
  4. Fill out the ticket, then Click Create Ticket.
Since your previous partner is canceling your existing account and you are creating a brand new account, your existing Quarantine and/or Archiving data will not migrate across accounts automatically. Create A New Account

The customer must create a new account.

Account creation requires a domain, but two accounts can't have the same domain name. During this transfer, the customer can use a subdomain like "GDI.<customer>.com" so that we can transfer the account and remove this temporary domain.

Ignore any MX changes, etc. that are prompted for this non-existent domain.
  1. Create a new account.
  2. Fill out the Registration Form:
    • Subscription Preferences
      • Number of Users
      • Number of Domains
    • Services
      • SpamStopsHere
      • Hosted Email
      • RestorEmail
      • Encryption
    • Account Details
      • Reminder: Use a temporary subdomain
  3. Once completed, click Sign Up!

Once all authorizations are received, and the new direct account is created, our support and billing staff will complete the transfer.
