Create a Outlook Email Account | Greenview Data


This article will guide you on how to setup your Outlook email account. This setup using our Greenview Data mail server information provided for our Email Hosting service.

Outlook 2013, Outlook 2016 and Newer Setup Guides

Microsoft Outlook 2013, Outlook 2016 & newer client setup guides using IMAP, POP, and Zimbra Connector. Setup may vary slightly between years, but the information needed should not change.

Outlook 2013, Outlook 2016 and Newer IMAP and POP Setup

Setup and configure your Microsoft Outlook 2013, Outlook 2016 & newer client using IMAP or POP.

1. Open Your Outlook, then Click the File tab.

2. Under the Account Information click Account Settings drop down then Account Settings... to add a new account.

3. In the Account Settings pop up under the Email tab click New....

4. On the Auto Account Setup page check Manual setup or additional server types and then click Next.

5. Choose your account type, check POP or IMAP and then click Next.

6. POP and IMAP Account Settings - Enter your settings:

User Information
Your name and email address.
Server Information
Account Type (IMAP or POP3) and Incoming / Outgoing mail server mail.greenviewdata.com.
Logon Information
Enter your email address as the User Name and Enter your password.

7. Enable outbound email authentication, under the Outgoing Server tab check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and Use same settings as my incoming mail server.

8. Enable SSL encryption and outgoing TLS:

IMAP - Recommended
Under the Advanced tab select SSL from the Use the following type of encrypted connection:. The incoming server (IMAP) port should change to 993.
POP3
Under the Advanced tab check This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL). The incoming server (POP3) port should change to 995.
SMTP
Under the Advanced tab select TLS from the Use the following type of encrypted connection. The outgoing server (SMTP) port should then be change to 587.

Once complete, click Ok and then Next.

9. Your Outlook 2016 email setup is complete!

Outlook 2013, Outlook 2016 and Newer Zimbra Connector Setup

Setup and configure your Microsoft Outlook 2013, Outlook 2016 & newer client using the Zimbra Connector For Outlook.

1. Download and Install the Zimbra Connector For Outlook

Download the latest Zimbra Connector For Outlook.

2. Open your Windows Control Panel, this can be done by clicking your Windows Start button then searching for and selecting Control Panel.

3. On the top right corner, use the Search Control Panel to search Mail and open the Mail app.

4. Under the General tab, click Add... to create a new profile.

5. Enter a Profile Name, then click Ok.

6. On the Add Account page, select Manual setup or additional server types and click Next.

7. Choose a service, select Other and then Zimbra Collaboration Server. Click Next

8. On the Zimbra Server Configuration Settings page, select the Server Configuration tab.

9. Enter the Server Name of your Zimbra Collaboration Servers.

10. Select Use Secure Connection.

11. Enter your Email Address and Password.

12. Once complete, click Ok.

Outlook will need to be restarted, after that your Zimbra Account will sync with your Outlook.

Account Setup for Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2010

Outlook setup may vary slightly between years, but the information needed should not change.

1. Open Your Outlook Program, Click Tools and then Account Settings.

2. Under the E-mail tab click New.

3. Check box the Manually configure server settings or additional server types, then click Next.

4. Select Internet E-mail, then click Next.

5. Enter your settings:

User Information
Your name and e-mail address.
Server Information
Account Type (IMAP or POP3) and Incoming / Outgoing mail server mail.greenviewdata.com.
Logon Information
Enter your email address as the User Name and Enter your password.

6. Enable outbound email authentication, under the Outgoing Server tab check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and Use same settings as my incoming mail server.

7. Enable SSL encryption, under the Advanced tab Enable SSL transport encryption for POP3/IMAP.

It is also recommended to enable outbound (SMTP) SSL encryption.

POP
For POP use port 995
IMAP
For IMAP use port 993
SMTP
For SMTP use port 465

Once complete, click Ok then Next.

8. To finish, click Next then Finish.
