Configuring Mailbird using IMAP

With IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) you can view and manipulate messages from your Windows App and other devices as if they were on your main computer. This is the best option for multi-device users.

  • Your email address
  • Your email password
  • The hostname of the Greenview Data mail server: mail.greenviewdata.com
  • IMAP - 993 (incoming)

Creating a new account in Mailbird

1. Launch the Mailbird'

2. If this is the first time using / running Mailbird you will be prompt to create an account, if not you must add a new account. To add an account go to options and click Accounts, Add.

3. Enter your name and email address, click Continue.

4.Once your account settings are found Mailbird will ask for your password, enter your password and click Continue

5. Verify and edit incoming and outgoing server information:

Incoming Server

Server Type
IMAP
Server Name
mail.greenviewdata.com
Port
993
Encryption
SSL/TLS
Username and Password
The username and password for the email account you want to use with Mailbird

Outgoing Server

SMTP Server
mail.greenviewdata.com
Port
465
Encryption
SSL/TLS
Requires authentication
Check the box
Username and Password
The username and password for the email account you want to use with Mailbird

Once complete, click Continue

5.You account should now be added to Mailbird.
