No Agreement on "Do Not Track" Response

Microsoft recognizes that there is no universal agreement yet on how an advertiser should respond to a DNT signal from a user's web browser. Interestingly, Microsoft, which runs its own advertising business, apparently does not yet respond at all to such a signal (although it plans to do so).

Despite the lack of agreement on what DNT means and how to respond to it, there are steps you can take right now to protect your privacy online.
