Trace an email

First, to get to the message tracking screen, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your Administrator interface at http://www.GreenviewData.com 2. Under Client Account, click Support 3. Click "Trace Missing Email" That takes you to the Message Tracking screen

On this screen, you set the search criteria to find your missing email.

Required Fields

There are only two required fields: Domain and Date. The rest of the fields are optional, but you’ll probably want to set at least one of them to narrow down your search results. Otherwise, there may be too many results to find your missing message.

1. The "Domain" list

This is a list of email domains that you have on our system. Select the domain that the missing email was sent to. If you only have one domain, then it is already selected.

2. The "Date" radio buttons

Select the date on which the missing email was sent. You can search up to 8 days back, including the current day

Optional Fields

There are also several optional fields:

• The email address of the person who sent the missing email • The email address of the intended recipient. • The subject line of the missing email • The IP address of the person who sent the missing email.

Please note: the more information you put in the optional fields, the smaller your search results. If you find too many messages, try specifying more information. If you don't see the message you're looking for, try less.

Results

After you click "Search" the system goes through the email logs, looking for messages that match your search criteria and then displays the results.

Scan the list to locate your missing email. Those that were flagged as spam show the Filter Action as “Rejected”, Whitelisted and messages that did not match a filter show as "Accepted". When you find it, click the corresponding Logs button to find out why it was rejected, or to see your mail server's acceptance message.
