First Time Setup

Thank you for using Greenview Data's Email Hosting service! Although our service works hand-in-hand with all of our other services, this wiki entry will focus exclusively on setting up your hosting account from start to finish. If you're already a SpamStopsHere customer, please skip that section.
I. Setting up SpamStopsHere
You'll first want to set up the SpamStopsHere service as it will be your "Border MTA". This is accomplished by changing your MX records as provided to you in your setup email, or in your control panel under "Manage (tab)" -> "Domains (tab)" -> "Details (button)".
It can take 24-48 hours for DNS to propagate, which will give you time to create your accounts and change your email clients to use our servers.
II. Setting up Email Hosting
1. First, you'll want to log in to your administrative URL provided in your setup instructions with the supplied credentials. Once logged in you can create your users, aliases, and distribution lists. If you're migrating your entire domain from an Exchange environment you can use the Exchange Migration Wizard to help with this process (under the "downloads" link in your admin control panel).
2. Once your users are created, you'll need to decide if you're migrating your existing email and if so how to accomplish this. Typically, if you've been in a POP environment and plan to continue using POP you can skip this step. If you use IMAP, you'll want to use IMAPSync or another means of copying the messages over IMAP. If you use Outlook, you can use the PST Import Wizard included under the "Downloads" link in your admin control panel.
3. Now that the accounts are ready to go, you'll want to connect the mail clients to our server.

4. Now that everything is ready to go you'll want to change the setting in your SpamStopsHere control panel to point your mail to our servers as outlined in the setup email you received.
