We can transfer files on 9-Track, 3480, 3490 and 3490e tapes to CD-ROM or DVD. Optionally, we can also convert the EBCDIC data to ASCII.
Pricing
The table below summarizes pricing for a "raw" copy or a simple byte-for-byte EBCDIC text to ASCII conversion of up to 600 megabytes. There is a fee for first GB of each file or tape, plus a fee for each GB after that. Additional fees may apply to larger files. Turn-around time is two business days.
We can optionally convert the EBCDIC data to ASCII. The cost to run the conversion is reduced if we have already created a custom .LAY data layout file for you.
This service is particularly convenient if you receive monthly, quarterly or yearly tapes that you need converted.
